1 2 Android MidiScope Sample 3 =================================== 4 5 Sample demonstrating how to use the MIDI API to receive and process MIDI signals coming from an 6 attached device. 7 8 Introduction 9 ------------ 10 11 The Android MIDI API ([android.media.midi][1]) allows developers to connect a MIDI device to Android 12 and process MIDI signals coming from it. This sample demonstrates some basic features of the MIDI 13 API, such as enumeration of currently available devices (Information includes name, vendor, 14 capabilities, etc), notification when MIDI devices are plugged in or unplugged, and receiving MIDI 15 signals. This sample simply shows all the received MIDI signals to the screen log and does not play 16 any sound for them. 17 [1]: https://developer.android.com/reference/android/media/midi/package-summary.html 18 19 Pre-requisites 20 -------------- 21 22 - Android SDK 24 23 - Android Build Tools v24.0.1 24 - Android Support Repository 25 26 Screenshots 27 ------------- 28 29 <img src="screenshots/1-main.png" height="400" alt="Screenshot"/> <img src="screenshots/2-signals.png" height="400" alt="Screenshot"/> 30 31 Getting Started 32 --------------- 33 34 This sample uses the Gradle build system.
